According to the information on our website the most popular versions of the program are: 4.10, 4.01 and 4.1. The newest version is HORRIBLE. "Occasional crashes" is an understatement. It crashes EVERY TIME I use it and files aren't always recoverable like their earlier versions. And if it doesn't crash, it freezes to where I can't save a document, edit it, or even copy the content to paste to another program, such as Evernote, to insure I don't lose any of my hard work. All I can do is close the program, and hope the recovery tool is able to accomplish its job (which it doesn't do nearly as well as previous versions). After much frustration and attempted fixes, I've sadly abandoned OpenOffice. Good luck to you if you install this.
