Same here as what Chuck experienced. My wife used this as a fully free version for a number of years. we had to replace her PC and re-install all her software (Nov 2024), and now we find out this s/w is basically trial only - she wasted half a day building a slide show. No warning on the website or the s/w at installation time. Very disappointing but not uncommon. If the developer had been upfront about it, I might have considered purchasing.
On Nov. 9, 2021 I installed VideoPad 10.96 and tried a fairly basic editing project. I was less than satisfied with the way the edit turned out and it was a bit awkward to use but I saw many features within the software that I wanted to explore, so I thought I would try it again when I had an appropriate video for some of VideoPad's more interesting features. The software indicated that it was shareware but gave no indication of a time limit or limited number of edits. On Dec. 2, 2021 I wanted to try a new project. A message popped up saying my trial had expired and I could purchase the software or close with doing nothing. I uninstalled it wishing I could have explored the software's features.
